Dunit Five Star
Gilbert (2022)

Gilbert is an exciting 2022 grullo by Foothills Beau Dunit, out of a young mare called Five Star Doll Blues. Foothills Beau Dunit is by the immortal Hollywood Dun It. In his own right, Foothills Beau Dunit is a NRHA money earner, and  has offspring earnings in Reining, Ranch Reining and Barrel Racing! He holds an AQHA Open Performance ROM; has AQHA points in reining and barrel racing. After his show career, he became a successfull team roping horse. Adding to his exciting top side, Hollywood Jac 86 and Colonel Freckles are on his papers.

Gilbert's dam (Five Star Doll Blues) was bred by the Cee Heart Quarter Horses (Chord Ranch) in South Dakota. She is a cool mix of old-school run, cow & Blue Valentine breeding. Gilbert's maternal grandsire, Doubleman Rowdy, goes back to Blue Valentine 7 times. His maternal 2nd dam goes back to Three Bars 26 times! Her breeding is old foundation cutting lines - Goodbye Sam,  Jody Fairfax - on top, bred to AQHA champion racing lines like Easy Jet, Jet Smooth and Easily Smashed.

Interestingly, Gilbert has no Poco Bueno, Doc Bar or Peppy bloodlines, so he'll be a fun outcross on our mares. We're excited for the versatility he will bring to our breeding program. Gilbert is 6-Panel N/N, as well as EJSA N/N and LWO N/N. His Colour profile is E/E, a/a, D/nd2.

Gilbert currently stands 15.3 hands (likely a little growing left). He is a good-minded, good-natured stud colt who is eager to learn. We have started him in training with Rob Driedger.
