Walter (2011)

AKA Walter. We purchased this handsome bay roan from D5 Performance Horses in Spring 2022. As a 3-year old he had an allergic reaction that halted his performance career; something we're very conscious of as he works through his teenage years. However, his breeding career has been a success. He has produced 1D barrel horses and has offspring earnings. We've seen many of his get sell online for $10,000 - $20,000! Walter was bred by Foothills Ranch, sired by Chex Is My Daddy who has >$19,000 in LTE himself. His other accomplishments are: 63 AQHA points (AQHA Superior Award, and ROM Performance in Open and Amateur); PHBA World Junior Reining Champion; PHBA World Amateur Reining Champion; PHBA World Working Cow Horse Amateur Champion; PHBA Reserve World Champion Junior Working Cow Horse twice; PHBA Honor Roll Working Cow Horse Amateur Champion; qualified for AQHA  World Show 4 times. Chex Is My Daddy is by $3+million sire Nu Chex To Cash (Nu Cash).

On the bottom side, his dam is out of the Rocking W program and is a mix of cow, run and foundation lines. Of note is Azul Caballo Amigo, sire of the 1993 Senior Rodeo World Champion Rope Horse and 1998 AQHA/PWRA Heel Horse of the Year. His distaff line is goes back to Old-School run (Leo, Three Bars, Denny Bar, Moon Deck).

Walter has proven to sire athletic, trainable and versitile foals who can be found in many western events. Walter is 6-panel N/N, colour tests E/e, A/a, RN/rn. He is  a solid 15.0h and has great feet and legs.
